The rep. that was here yesterday - a thoroughly wonderful lady who works for Skacel, Frog Tree, and Sheep Shop, among others - told me that a little bit of novelty yarn is making a comeback. New types of novelty yarns, but novelty yarns nonetheless. I found that surprising. Not that I doubted her in the least, and I know that here, where I live, we are about 2 years behind the newest trends (and as a lifelong Valley resident I say that in the kindest but most realistic way) so we won't see it here for a while yet. And I'm not sure that it would be true to the spirit of my shop to carry novelty yarns. We'll see what the future holds.
It makes food for thought.
